Massage therapy falls into two fundamental categories:

  • Relaxation: Consists of light to moderate pressure, long rhythmic strokes or small circular movements that help to relieve stress, tension, anxiety, and improve circulation giving one a feeling of rejuvenation.

  • Rehabilitative: Consists of healing an ailment. This can include and injury, disorder, or chronic pain. The goal to this type of massage is to release trigger points, decrease muscle tone, and improve blood flow. The following are some of the ailments that fall in this category:

    • Fibromyalgia

    • Carpal tunnel syndrome

    • Migraines & Headaches

    • Sports related injuries

    • Rheumatoid arthritis & Osteoarthritis

Thai Massage is somewhat different that traditional massage, but has as many benefits. Thai massage consists of stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques to relax the whole body. The therapist uses their hands, knees, legs, and feet to move the body, apply deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure.

Acupuncture produces instantaneous pain relief, simultaneously restoring mobility, strength, nerve and blood supply; often described as “turning off a pain switch”.

Fire Cupping is one of the best deep tissue decompression therapies available; affecting tissues up to four inches deep from the skin surface; releasing stiff muscles & fascia. Promoting blood flow & relaxation.
